It is certainly good to be with you again today! 2026 has been a very different beginning for me, to say the least! Thanks to the quick response by Jim and Michele, and the goodness of God, I am able to continue to enjoy the blessings of life and family. My sincere thanks for your many prayers on my behalf.
My life song has been playing over and over in my mind numerous times during the last two weeks. It was meaningful to me prior to January 4, and certainly meaningful to me today!
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God
Grace Alone
One of Wyanett's Statements of Faith reads:
“We believe that salvation is by grace alone; without any merit by any person; that all who repent and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior are ‘born again’ and thereby become children of God.”
Where would we be without the grace of God applied to our lives? Here is an interesting picture of grace…
A Grandfather’s Grace
A grandfather found his grandson jumping up and down in his playpen, crying at the top of his voice. When little Johnnie saw his grandfather, he reached up with his little chubby hands and said, “Out, Grandpa, out!”
It was only natural for the grandfather to reach down and lift the little guy out of his predicament, but as he was about to do so, little Johnnie's mother stepped up and said, “No, Johnnie, you are being punished—you must stay in.”
The grandfather was at a loss as to what to do. Johnnie's tears and chubby hands reached deep into his heart, but the mother’s firmness could not be ignored. Here was a problem of love versus law. Yet love found a way—the grandfather could not take the child out of the playpen, so he crawled in with him.
With a strong arm He lifted me up to show me what living is
He’ll come down to your level if you open up the door
He wants to make your life worth living —
That’s what He came down for
Marvelous Grace
God’s marvelous grace sets itself apart from all the other religions of the world. While many religions work for what they call salvation, you and I know that there is no other way to be reconciled to God but by believing and receiving the message of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!
Yes, we were at one time controlled and penalized by our sinful nature, but God came down to our level and lifted us out of that horrible predicament.
Can I hear a “Praise the Lord!” from you?
